Dear patients,

At Dural Family Medical Practice, some of our doctors have undertaken additional sub-specialisation training in skin cancer medicine and perform regular skin checks and skin cancer removals.

Skin checks are strongly recommended for all adults in Australia. Common risk factors for skin cancer include having multiple moles (naevi), having fair skin and hair colour, a history of past sun exposure (especially having grown up in Australia), and a family history of melanoma.

Visit our website to know more about skin cancer and melanoma

If you have skin-relevant concerns your GP can perform a skin check. Come and see your GP’s who have undertaken additional training to detect and treat skin cancers our GP’s also perform skin biopsies, removals, and dermatoscopic surveillance of suspicious lesions.
